Kirklees College Trials Take Place This Wednesday!

Kirklees College, in association with the Huddersfield Town Foundation Academy, will hold the Open Trials for next year’s intake of students on Wednesday 25 April 2018 at Leeds Road Sports Complex.
The scheme allows school leavers to continue their education, combining a nationally recognised qualification with the opportunity to train and play football at a highly competitive level.

The Academy caters for both male and female students and has close links to AFC Emley U19s and Huddersfield Town Ladies, allowing students to continue to pursue competitive football in the community.

High-quality coaching is delivered through UEFA A Licence coach and former Huddersfield Town footballer Kev Donovan leading the male Academy and Ruby Marlow, former Tottenham Hotspur Ladies player leading the female. The students play at a highly competitive level in the College Elite League and college timetables allow for three coaching sessions and a competitive game around academic study.

The Academy is heavily linked with the Huddersfield Town Foundation who offer a variety of opportunities including volunteering and paid work experience and the chance to be scouted by HTAFC Club Scouts. Huddersfield Town matchday tickets are also offered as a reward for attendance, effort, improvement and attainment. Students also play in Huddersfield Town kits and have the opportunity to play at the Club’s PPG Canalside Training Ground.

Trials are open to all school leavers both male and female who are set to leave school this summer, with trials taking place on the 3G at Leeds Road Playing Fields on Wednesday 25 April 2018 between 4pm-6pm.
