01 Apr Town Fans Tee Off For The Foundation
Huddersfield fan Warren Green is organising a Golf Day on Friday 24 May to raise funds for the Town Foundation and the Club’s Charity Partner the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.
This will be the second yearly Golf Day organised by Warren, following hot on the heels of a successful event in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance last season.
The day will take place at Headley Golf Club in Bradford with entry priced at £40 per person (a £20 deposit will secure your place).
Your entry fee will include a bacon sandwich and coffee upon arrival before you take part in a nine hole Texas Scramble team event. Following a light lunch, there will be an 18 hole Stableford individual competition followed by a two course evening meal and the prize presentation.
Warren explained his motivation behind the event:
“Everyone had such a good day last year when we raised money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and asked for me to arrange another one.
“Direct Golf UK offered its assistance immediately after last year’s event, so I was happy to arrange another one. I wanted to help a more local charity, hence my decision to support the Town Foundation and Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.
“It has been made easier with the continued backing of Direct Golf UK, Headley Golf Club and the new backing from Driver Trainer Centre. All that we need now is the weather and a full complement of players!â€
The Town Foundation’s Corporate Fundraising Officer Mandy Taylor added:
“The Town Foundation would like to thank Warren for organising this golf day and pledging some of the proceeds to the Town Foundation – it is greatly appreciated.
“I hope everyone can back this event, which promises to be a fun and competitive day!â€
