27 Jul Propermaid Helps Celebrate The Breakfast Clubs
With local schools now broken up for the summer, the Town Foundation has joined forces with ProperMaid Ltd to celebrate the success of the ‘Early Kick-Off’ breakfast clubs!Â
Over the course of the 2014/15 school year, the ‘Early Kick-Off’ project has served over 130,000 breakfasts across 17 clubs in the region to help local youngsters start their learning day in the right way – with a healthy and nutritious meal!Â
As a result, ProperMaid Ltd teamed up with the charity and donated over 5,000 frozen desert pots to help celebrate this achievement!Â
ProperMaid Ltd’s founder and owner Allison Whitmarsh visited the host of one of the breakfast clubs, Highfield J, I & N, last week to join in with its end of term ‘Party in the Park’ event and witness the children enjoying their complimentary cheesecakes first-hand.Â
Before enjoying the deserts, the children were challenged to display their artistic talents and decorate the tops of the cheesecakes as part of the school’s fete. Â
The desert products were originally designed and produced for the school meals market, and ProperMaid owner Allison Whitmarsh is delighted to be working with the Foundation to put the products to good use:Â Â
“With the growing interest for innovation in baking it’s great that we’re able to encourage so many of our local children to get involved and demonstrate their creative flair – I couldn’t wait to judge some of the children’s best efforts!”Â
The Town Foundation’s Fundraising Manager Mandy Taylor added:Â
“On behalf of the charity I would like to thank Allison and ProperMaid Ltd for the generous donation of over 5,000 deserts to celebrate the success of the ‘Early Kick-Off’ breakfast project this year.Â
“On top of being a great treat for the children to enjoy, it also gave them something different to do in designing the top of the cheesecakes!Â
“The Early Kick-Off project continues to go from strength to strength and there are further exciting plans in the pipeline to make it even better.â€
