12 Feb Bring Your Child To The Foundation’s Cinema Trip
What is your child doing this half-term? Bring them along to the Town Foundation’s free cinema trip to watch SING!
Children aged five and above are welcome to attend the Town Foundation’s trip on Monday 20 February at the ODEON cinema in Huddersfield, for the launch of a new holiday initiative RADYCAL (Rawthorpe & Dalton, Youth, Children, Activities, Leisure).
During the upcoming half-term there is a chance for 250 children and parents to come along and watch the comedy film SING, which was created by the makers of Despicable Me.
Parents and children should arrive at the cinema for 9am with the screening of the film beginning at 9.30am; the event is totally free for all to attend.
Popcorn and a drink will also be provided for the children free of charge as well as a free goodie bag provided by Caterers Choice.
The screening has been provided by ODEON Cinema Huddersfield, following the partnership agreement with Huddersfield Town.
RAYDCAL has been created by Netherhall High School’s Community Manager, Cat Willetts and is being supported by the Town Foundation to provide children with activities throughout the holidays.
In the past, the Town Foundation has been part of half-term activities like ‘Forest Play’ and ‘Kids Café’. You can find out more about this by clicking the links above.
Booking is essential as there are only 250 places available to the free screening of SING, if you’re interested please contact Cat Willetts via email on willettscat@nlconline.org.uk or call 07905215213.
Cat Willetts, Community Manager at Netherhall High School explained why RADYCAL was set up:
“RADYCAL is a constituted group who aims to provide activities for young people in and around the Rawthorpe and Dalton areas of Huddersfield.
“We try to help young people aged five to 19 years by offering leisure time activities. We research, organise and co-ordinate activities designed to benefit young people.
“We work together to bring out the best in them and ensure they have fun in a safe and secure environment.â€
Huddersfield Town’s Fundraising Manager Julie Sheffield commented:
“We are delighted to be a part of the new holiday initiative RADYCAL as it helps children get involved in a number of activities throughout the holidays.
“Our launch event is free of charge and I would love to see as many kids and parents at the ODEON as possible.
“I would like to thank both Huddersfield Town and the ODEON in Huddersfield for providing us with a cinema screen free of charge; I hope everyone enjoys the morning!â€
