Overview

The Huddersfield Town Foundation provides inclusive sporting and educational opportunities to people across Kirklees under our five themes, Sport, Education, Inclusion, Heath and Trust. The Foundation is currently seeking to increase our coaching staff as we continue to grow in our delivery.The vacancy will be offered on an initial 20 hours per week contract and will present a great opportunity for individuals to enter the sports sector and work for Yorkshire’s only Premier League Club. The successful candidates will be dynamic, forward-thinking individuals who are results-driven, team players, and who have the welfare and positive experience of the young people they will be working with at the forefront of their minds.

Key Tasks

The roles outlined above will form the core basis of your working week, but hours may also be made up in other areas of the Foundations work. This includes in schools and the local community. You will be required to plan and deliver high quality, fun and engaging sessions in a variety of sports, including football.

– Maintain a high standard of delivery while representing HTAFC Foundation making sure all standards are at the highest of levels

– Take a person-centred approach to all delivery

– Manage registers and required reporting on all sessions

– Report back to the Head of Football/Sport at required times with registers, course numbers and anything else that may be required as part of the Foundations monitoring and evaluation process

– Be the ‘face’ of the Foundation, build good relationships with partners ensuring repeat business is gained.

Role Requirements:

You must hold relevant coaching qualifications such as FA Level 1 and 2 (or equivalent in other sports), First Aid trained and have completed an FA Safeguarding course.

– Other coaching qualifications such as youth module awards are desirable.

– Experience as a youth worker is desirable.

– Experience in working with children and young people is essential.

– Full driving licence and access to vehicle or ability to travel throughout Kirklees is essential.
