09 Jan WEAR BLUE & BACK THE TOWN FOUNDATION
The Huddersfield Town Foundation are encouraging supporters and the local community to wear blue on Friday 31 January 2020.
Whether you choose to be a Smurf, an Avatar or simply wear your favourite Huddersfield Town home shirt, there are plenty of ways for you to get involved.
The inaugural Wear Blue Day will support Foundation initiatives such as the ‘Early Kick-Off’ Breakfast Clubs, through which children from 41 schools are provided with a healthy and nutritious start to the day.
You can get involved in a number of different ways! You could:
- Host a blue-themed non-uniform day;
- Turn your office blue;
- Wear blue face paint; or
- Host a blue-themed cake sale
Just remember to #WearBlue and have fun!
If you’re supporting the campaign, then the Town Foundation suggests that a £1 donation be made to the charity by each person who participates and it’s easier than ever to donate!
You can donate online through the Foundation’s official online giving pages:

In speaking of the campaign, the Town Foundation’s Fundraising Manager, Lisa Bottomley commented:
“Wear Blue Day is intended as a light-hearted way for our community to show it’s support for the Foundation.
“With a suggested donation of just £1, we hope that Wear Blue Day will be accessible for all and easy to participate.â€
