REPRESENT THE TOWN FOUNDATION IN THIS YEAR’S LONDON MARATHON!

The Huddersfield Town Foundation is delighted to be able to offer four people the chance to take part in the world’s first 100,000-person marathon!

With the results of the 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon Ballot announced recently, the Town Foundation has secured one place on the traditional course and a further three places for the virtual event.

On Sunday 3 October 50,000 participants will take on the traditional course from London’s Blackheath to The Mall – an increase of more than 7,000 on the previous finisher record.

The virtual event will see another 50,000 people around the globe run the 26.2 miles on the course of their choice at any time throughout the day.

As the official charity of Huddersfield Town, the Town Foundation delivers a range of programmes across four key themes: Education, Health, Inclusion, Sport and Trust.

Its aim is to engage, inspire and positively impact the community of Huddersfield and wider Kirklees.

All successful Town Foundation entrants will receive a runner’s pack to include practical tips on fundraising activities, a training and diet plan and suggested apps and Spotify playlists to help you keep pace throughout your training.

Runners will also be invited to attend training sessions with The Town Foundation, which may include gym sessions or group runs on the track at Leeds Road Sports Complex. They will also be gifted with a Town Foundation running vest to display their terrier spirit.

Furthermore, our staff team will provide significant support in fundraising, including the promotion of your activities on our social media channels.

To register your interest in representing the Foundation, please complete our ONLINE QUESTIONAIRE.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on Friday 19 March 2021, with successful applicants being notified week commencing Monday 22 March 2021.

Runners will not have to pay the event registration fee, but we ask that the runner of the live race in London sets a fundraising target of £2,500, and the three virtual marathon runners attempt to raise £1,000 each.
