FOUNDATION LOOKING TO EXPAND ITS STAFF TEAM

Several vacancies have opened across the Huddersfield Town Foundation staffing structure due to the expansion of their team and an increase in external funding.

A number of positions have opened up to join the Foundation at an exciting time to help with the continuous development of our current programmes and activities.

Successful applicants can have a positive influence on the charity’s impact in the community of Kirklees, helping those who face destitution and poverty each day.

Designated Safeguarding Manager

In this role you will be the main point of contact for all safeguarding matters within the Foundation and who will work closely with the Club’s Head of Safeguarding and the HTF programme leads who have responsibilities for safeguarding along with the Foundation’s nominated Trustee with responsibility for safeguarding.

The Designated Safeguarding Manager will be responsible for overseeing, directing and supporting the safe provision of all activities and associated events relating to children, young people and Adults at Risk to fulfil the Foundation and Club’s safeguarding policies, procedures and objectives.

Senior Youth Engagement Manager

This is an exciting time to join the Huddersfield Town Foundation and contribute to the development of our Youth Engagement programmes. If you enjoy working with young people and want to improve their life chances, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

In this role, you will manage and oversee the Youth Engagement department for the organisation, focusing on delivery of our existing youth and rehabilitation related programmes including Premier League Kicks, Premier League Kicks Targeted, Premier League Changemakers and Children in Care programmes, along with our work supporting females within HMP New Hall. The role will include the design, delivery, leadership, and evaluation of these projects and activities to achieve defined KPIs and secure ongoing external funding.

Employment and Life Skills Mentor

The successful candidate will manage, coordinate, and deliver on the Huddersfield Town Foundation’s new employment and life skills project working within a prison setting. This is an exciting new project for the Foundation which is funded by the Triangle Trust and will use a Sport for Development approach to provide qualifications, voluntary opportunities, and employment pathways to young women within HMP New Hall. The project will build on the work we have undertaken in partnership with the Twinning Programme and will allow us to further support participants on this programme.

Secondary Schools Manager

Premier League Inspires is an education programme, developed by the Premier League and professional football clubs and newly added to the Huddersfield Town Foundation’s portfolio in September 2022.

The post holder will be responsible for managing, and growing, our work in secondary schools to support young people across Kirklees who may be at risk of not reaching their potential as they move through the education system and early adulthood. Working closely with partner agencies, the post holder will attend meetings and strategic forums, gathering and sharing relevant information as required. The post holder will also support education providers to develop approaches that build young people’s resilience, provide inspiration and aspiration, while also developing the ability to recognise risk and prevent exploitation.

Project Worker

Project Workers will help to support the expanding delivery of the Foundation’s projects and programmes by showing a variety of skill sets from youth work, mentoring, and counselling, to acting as a teaching assistant and classroom support, through to sports coaching.

The post holder will work with a broad range of participants, delivery will take place in different locations depending on which programme or project the individual will be allocated.

Safeguarding

The Huddersfield Town Foundation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As this role is likely to involve the supervision of and work with children and young people or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will require an Enhanced Criminal Records Check (CRC) through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
