Details have now been released for the Huddersfield Town Foundation’s planned Biking For Breakfasts 2, a charity ride heading for Exeter City’s St James’ Park via England’s base at St George’s Park

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Biking for Breakfasts ride to Ipswich, the Huddersfield Town Foundation will be venturing to St James’ Park, Exeter for their second fundraising bike ride for breakfast clubs!
The event will take place from 22 to 26 April 2025, with the ride beginning at our home at the John Smith’s Stadium and finishing at Exeter City’s St James’ Park, where Town will take on the Grecians in their last away game of the 2024/25 season. As well as the challenge of the ride itself, cyclists will have the opportunity to stay overnight at St George’s Park, the home of the England football team!
Supporters looking to sign up and join the ride will be helping to raise much-needed funds for our Early Kick Off Breakfast Clubs programme, which provide children who need it most the best possible start to their day of learning at school.
Your direct support is vital, as the Breakfast Clubs cost around £100,000 per year to run. By supporting this cause, you can feel assured knowing that your hard work and generosity will support someone in need. To date the Foundation have served over two-and-a-half million breakfasts and are now on a mission to double this and reach five million!
The ride will be approximately 310 miles in total, with the route plan as follows:
Day One: Tuesday 22 April – leaving the John Smith’s Stadium and riding to St George’s Park, Burton upon Trent with overnight stay at the home of the Football Association
Day Two: Wednesday 23 April – ride from St George’s Park through the Heart of England via Warwick and Stratford Upon Avon
Day Three: Thursday 24 April – ride through the picturesque Cotswolds to Glastonbury
Day Four: Friday 25 April – ride from Glastonbury to Exeter City’s St James’ Park
Day Five: Saturday 26 April – watch Exeter City vs Huddersfield Town then return home
The entry fee is £295 per-person, and this includes:
– Four nights bed and breakfast in shared accommodation
– An official cycling shirt
– A match ticket for Exeter City vs Huddersfield Town
– Bike transportation back from Exeter
– Coach travel back after the match from Exeter to Huddersfield
– Medical support and daily snacks and refreshments during the ride!
In addition to the entry fee, participants will be asked to raise a minimum of £500 for the Huddersfield Town Foundation’s Breakfast Clubs Further details on sponsorship, timings and route will follow in the coming weeks for those who sign up to the event.

Entry fees (which are non-refundable) should be made via bank transfer to the Huddersfield Town Foundation. You can pay the amount in full but we are giving entrants the ability to pay their entry fee in instalments; with a £95 deposit to reserve a place on the ride being due before 24 January 2025.
The remainder will then be due over the following two months; £100 to be paid by 24 February and the final £100 to be paid by 24 March.
