26 Jan Huddersfield Town Left Back And Foundation Treated To Fantastic Breakfast
Huddersfield Town player James Husband and members of the Huddersfield Town Foundation were treated to breakfast at Fantastic Media on Monday morning as part of National Breakfast Week.
Husband, on loan from Middleborough, was joined by Foundation Fundraising manager Mandy Taylor, Fundraising Assistant Julie Sheffield and Town’s Commercial Manager, John Williams and 24 Fantastic Media staff members at their offices in Birstall to kick off National Breakfast Week – a campaign which raises awareness of the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast.
The national campaign is close to the hearts of the Town Foundation which serves over 1000 breakfasts daily to children across Yorkshire. Founded in 2012 by Huddersfield Town chairman Dean Hoyle, the charity raises money to help the neediest children in the region through a range of initiatives including their own Breakfast Club which sees Foundation members and volunteers in schools each morning delivering healthy breakfasts.
Fantastic Media Managing Director, Andy Hobson, said: “We support all the hard work that Huddersfield Town Foundation does and wanted to say thank-you by giving something back to them.
“We understand how breakfast is an important part of the day. Every Monday morning we come into the office early to go through the diary for the week over breakfast to get motivated for the week ahead.
“The work that the Town Foundation does to provide this vital meal to so many school children is something we hugely admire and continue to support.â€
Fundraising Manager, Mandy Taylor, said: “Many school children in the Huddersfield area come from backgrounds where breakfast isn’t considered a priority.
“The nutritional power of breakfast helps to children to concentrate and stay motivated in school and we see the difference it makes, not just on their performance in the classroom but also on their general wellbeing and happiness.
“We pride ourselves on being a charity that uses 100% of our donations to help our cause, and without the support from companies like Fantastic Media we would not be able to continue to help as many children as we doâ€
