19 Jun Premier League Trophy Visits Kirkburton
The Premier League Primary Stars initiative – delivered by the Town Foundation – gave children at a local school the chance to enjoy a Premier League themed morning and the chance to have their picture taken with a piece of prestigious footballing silverware, the Premier League trophy!
Children at Kirkburton Middle arrived at school on Monday 18 June 2018 to enjoy an exciting morning delivered by the Premier League and the Town Foundation.
The morning began with an assembly that taught the children all about the key values that the Premier League stands for such as being ambitious, inspiring, connected and fair!
Town’s Head of Education then delivered the One Kirklees PSHE lesson on identity in which children learnt about new signing Terence Kongolo’s identity before reflecting on their own. Primary Stars coordinator Adam then put on an exciting PE session for the children to enjoy as Terry the Terrier cheered the pupils on.
The children then got the chance to have their photos taken with the prestigious Premier League trophy to round off the morning’s activities.
Town Foundation’s Head of Education, Katie Suttron commented:
“I’m glad that we’ve been able to give the children this exciting opportunity to enjoy the Premier League assembly and have this rare opportunity to have the Premier League trophy in their school.
“It was great to see how much all the children and staff enjoyed the Premier League Primary Stars morning and I hope they enjoyed getting involved in the initiative.’
“The Primary Stars programme offers brilliant free resources for schools to use that inspire and engage children in their learning. Signing up your school on the website gives you so many fantastic benefits, such as the chance to get the Premier League Trophy in your school; like we have today.â€
