Do you want to join the ever-growing team at the Town Foundation? Well, there’s two new vacancies available that might interest you!
The Town Foundation is the charitable arm of Huddersfield Town and continues to make a big difference in Kirklees and the surrounding community.
As the Town Foundation continues to develop, it seeks to appoint a full-time Primary Stars Coach.
This role will work to support and deliver the Town Foundation’s Premier League Primary Stars offer which will include as a minimum:
– Planning and delivering high quality physical education in line with the National Curriculum in primary schools, with the purpose of upskilling the school teacher.
– Planning and delivering interventions in literacy, numeracy and PSHE
– Creation of new resources to engage pupils in their learning
– Planning and delivery of assemblies
– Developing relationships with schools across Kirklees
– Monitoring and evaluating impact of delivery.
The Primary Stars Coach will report directly to the Primary Stars Co-ordinator.
The role will be offered initially on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with extension being subject to funding.

The second new role available at the Town Foundation is a Steps to Success Mentor.
This new role will see the Steps to Success mentor work closely with local secondary schools to develop and implement the Steps to Success programme, which will include:
– Planning and delivering high quality interventions which include but are not limited to behaviour; attendance; literacy; numeracy; PSHE; and employability
– Planning and delivery of collapsed curriculum days around building aspirations and realising potential
– Mentoring students identified as disengaged in their learning or at risk of not achieving their potential
– Delivery of the Premier League Enterprise Challenge
– Delivery of the Skills Academy reading intervention
– Creation of new resources to engage pupils in their learning
– Planning and delivery of engaging and inspiring assemblies
– Developing relationships with high schools across Kirklees
– Monitoring and evaluating impact of delivery
The Steps to Success mentor will report directly to the Head of Education but will be required to work closely with the inclusion department.
The role is offered initially on a two-year fixed-term contract, with any extensions being subject to funding.
