Huddersfield Town’s Club Ambassador Andy Booth inspired young students as the Town Foundation opened its 35th ‘Early Kick-Off Breakfast Club’ at All Saints Catholic High School.

The students from the High School arrived at 8.15am on Monday 22 October 2018 and were welcomed by Andy Booth and members of Town Foundation staff before tucking into a healthy and nutritious breakfast.

As they enjoyed a healthy start to the day and chose from a selection of cereal, crumpets, toast, jam, hot chocolate and juice, they were joined by former Town striker and now-Club Ambassador Andy Booth for a chat.

He spoke to them about their school days and favourite subjects and explained how they could fit into roles at a Football Club. In particular, he spoke to one inspired student about getting into photography!

Alongside ‘Boothy’ the students also spoke to Town Foundation staff Julie Sheffield and Lisa Bottomley, as well as Jeanette Cartwright from Kirklees Catering.

The ‘Early Kick-Off Breakfast Clubs’ continue to go from strength-to-strength and now benefit a wide variety of schools and pupils across Kirklees and the wider community.

The Town Foundation’s Head of Operations and Events, Julie Sheffield, commented:

“This is the fourth High School that we’ve started working with and we were delighted to see a number of students tuck into a healthy breakfast!

“We’ve now launched our 35th Early Kick-Off Breakfast Club, which is a fantastic achievement and it really shows how this initiative is benefiting local schools and pupils.

“The students at All Saints Catholic High School really enjoyed talking to Andy Booth and it was great to see him inspire so many youngsters.
