An afternoon of FREE sports and activities?! The Huddersfield Town Foundation’s Flame Event 2019 is just around the corner!

This year’s event will take place at Greenhead Park (HD1 4DT) in Huddersfield on Thursday 1 August 2019 between 11am and 3pm.

This year’s event is the latest of what is now an annual tradition to promote inclusive sport, physical activity and to improve health and wellbeing, after it began as part of the Olympic and Paralympic celebrations back in 2012.

All activities are delivered by local providers and are for everyone; both able-bodied and people with a disability!

There will be something for all ages, abilities and interests throughout the afternoon including cricket, cycling and wheelchair sports!

There’s no need to pre-book either, just turn up and register on the day!

All participants are advised to bring suitable footwear, weather suitable clothing and plenty to drink.

The activities on offer will be free for people to ‘come and try’ so get the date in the diary and come for a free afternoon of sport!
