02 Oct CELEBRATE THE HUDDERSFIELD TOWN FOUNDATION!

The Huddersfield Town Foundation are set to celebrate their community work at the Terriers fixture against Hull City on Saturday 5 October as a dedicated Foundation game.

Huddersfield Town’s Hull City fixture will be the dedicated Huddersfield Town Foundation game which will celebrate all the fantastic work of the charity.

The Foundation game is a time when the work of the Club’s official charity is recognised with the Hull City fixture presenting the perfect opportunity for Huddersfield Town supporters to find out more about the incredible work the charity does throughout the Kirklees community.

The Town Foundation delivers numerous activities within the community across themes of Education, Health, Inclusion and Sport as well as the Trust Fund, which operates 41 Breakfast Clubs across Kirklees.

Information relating to the Huddersfield Town Foundation’s work will be displayed and accessible for supporters to gain a greater understanding of why the community work is a real source of pride to the Football Club!

Fans will also have the chance to show their support for the charity by making a donation, if they would like to. There will be a stadium-wide bucket collection post-match for which supporters are asked to bring as little as £1 for the Huddersfield Town Foundation.

This pound can enable three children within the Kirklees community to receive a healthy and nutritious breakfast before their academic day as part of the Foundation’s ‘Early Kick-Off Breakfast Club’ initiative.

In line with this, the Cowley brothers went to Lowerhouses CE (VC) JI & EY School to surprise some young children who were enjoying their nutritious start to the day!

Supporters are also encouraged to bring a ‘Fans for Foodbanks’ donation for the Huddersfield Town Foundation and Huddersfield Town Supporters Association, season-long ‘One Fan, One Can’ campaign.

The Huddersfield Town Foundation will also facilitate a week-long ‘Fans for Foodbanks’ campaign with collection points for donations at the Leeds Road Sporting Complex. Fans unable to make the Hull City game will have the opportunity to contribute to the ‘Fans for Foodbanks’ from Monday 30 September until Saturday 5 October.

Supporters are also encouraged to donate unwanted, old Huddersfield Town and local grassroots football shirts to the Club’s official charity which will be donated to the Footprints Foundation and passed onto children in Africa to help inspire young football fans and to put smiles on their faces!

Shirts can be taken to the Huddersfield Town Foundation van located near to the Terriers Store opposite the KAL Stadium Leisure Centre. Donations can be made up to a week after the game and should be taken to the Foundation offices at Leeds Road Sports Complex.

The Footprints Foundation aims to tackle the problems and issues facing disadvantaged and vulnerable young and elderly people all over the world, with a similar vision to the Huddersfield Town Foundation of improving lives.

Huddersfield Town Foundation staff will be helping with the sale of the regular ‘Golden Gamble’ tickets, with proceeds from the Lottery at the Hull City fixture donated to the Huddersfield Town Foundation!

The Huddersfield Town Foundation will also benefit from the Hull City match day programme, with 50p of every sale donated to the charity!
