13 Aug PREMIER LEAGUE KICKS FREE SESSIONS SET TO RETURN TO LEEDS ROAD!
The Huddersfield Town Foundation is delighted to announce the return of its free Premier League Kicks football sessions!
Town Foundation coaches will deliver in line with Government guidelines on social distancing throughout August, with sessions targeted at different age groups and abilities.
Participants will have the opportunity to work on their football skills, with dates set for women and girls, disability and some mixed sessions.
PL Kicks is a national programme funded by the Premier League Charitable Fund and delivered locally by the Town Foundation, giving young people between the ages of eight and 19 a free opportunity to take part in a range of sports.
Kicks sessions take a youth work approach in allowing participants to play a key role in the design and implementation of sessions, as well as incorporating educational workshops.
The women and girls sessions and disability sessions will last for two hours and run simultaneously on four dates across August, with youngsters who have previously participated signing up to take part once again.
Should you wish to register your interest in weekly sessions beyond August, please contact Town Foundation Targeted Kicks Manager Isaac Keighley on the details towards the end of this article.
We will also be operating sessions for those of mixed abilities and gender between the ages of 12 and 14.
These are set for 3-5pm on Friday 14 August and 4-6pm on Monday 17 August and Monday 24 August.
Should you wish to book a place on these free sessions, please click your intended date in the paragraph above and you will be redirected to the relevant Eventbrite page.
Town Foundation coaches will also be running sessions for 15-18 year olds, with places already filled by regular participants from before lockdown.
Upon signing up to any of the sessions listed, participants will receive a code of conduct and pre-session COVID-19 checklist. We ask that you do not attend if you are showing any COVID-19 symptoms, and all sessions.
All Town Foundation coaches are fully FA qualified, Child Safeguarding and Emergency First Aid certified and fully DBS/CRB checked.
