25 Sep AMAZON SMILE GIVES SUPPORTERS CHANCE TO RAISE FREE FUNDS FOR TOWN FOUNDATION

Online shoppers can now support the Huddersfield Town Foundation with no extra cost to themselves through Amazon Smile!

The platform allows you to select the Town Foundation as your chosen charity to support, with 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases being donated back to us.

COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the Town Foundation’s fundraising calendar, with major events such as the Foundation Ball, End of Season Dinner and matchday collections being cancelled.

With that in mind, our team has launched a number of virtual initiatives including the Great North Run, 2.6 Challenge and the auctioning of match worn shirts.

Our appeals have been met with overwhelming support, and the Town Foundation would like to place on record its appreciation to everybody that has supported our work.

However, as is the case with most charities we are still in need of support, particularly given the return of children to schools and the subsequent growth in demand for our ‘Early Kick-Off’ Breakfast Clubs.

Users of Google Chrome will also be able to install a free browser extension, ensuring that you are always taken to smile.amazon.co.uk.

It is important to note that you must shop via smile.amazon.co.uk for your purchases to register for the scheme. Purchases made through amazon.co.uk will not qualify.

The Town Foundation is also registered with Give As You Live, which follows a similar concept with over 4,000 online retailers.

The percentage donated from each of those retailers varies, but again the opportunity is there to raise funds to support the Town Foundation at no extra cost to yourself.
