FOUNDATION’S TEAM IS EXPANDING

Several vacancies have opened across the Huddersfield Town Foundation staffing structure due to the expansion of their team.

Three full-time positions have opened up to join the Foundation at an exciting time to help with the continuous development of our current programmes and activities.

Successful applicants can have a positive influence on the charity’s impact in the community of Kirklees, helping those who face destitution and poverty each day.

HEAD OF PROGRAMMES

The Head of Programmes will be responsible for the strategic development of the Foundation’s programme delivery across our impact areas of Education, Youth Engagement, and Health.

The post holder will be a key component of the Foundation’s Senior Leadership Team and will be required to work with a range of partners across the public, private and voluntary sectors to further enhance our programme activities and projects.

SENIOR HEALTH AND WELLBEING MANAGER

The Senior Health and Wellbeing Manager will manage and oversee the delivery and development of our Health and Wellbeing department and its existing health-related programmes, as well as the existing members of the team.

The post holder will be required to build and maintain a range of relationships and partnerships beneficial to the Charity across the public, private, and voluntary sectors to further enhance our range of Health and Wellbeing activities.

YOUTH ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

The Youth Engagement Manager will manage, coordinate, and deliver on the Huddersfield Town Foundation’s flagship youth engagement programme to support young people aged 8-18 who are traditionally under-represented, including those from low socio-economic groups, girls, disabled young people, and participants from ethnically diverse backgrounds.

The post holder will contribute to the continued development of the youth engagement programme, as well as work closely with partner agencies and local authority, Kirklees Council.

PROJECT WORKER

Project Workers will help to support the expanding delivery of the Foundation’s projects and programmes by showing a variety of skill sets from youth work, mentoring, and counselling, to acting as a teaching assistant and classroom support, through to sports coaching.

The post holder will work with a broad range of participants, delivery will take place in different locations depending on which programme or project the individual will be allocated.

As we are recruiting Project Workers on a rolling basis, thus there is no defined closing date. We will endeavour to process applications on receipt, with applicants informed of the status and outcome of their application within two weeks.

Safeguarding

The Huddersfield Town Foundation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As this role is likely to involve the supervision of and work with children and young people or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will require an Enhanced Criminal Records Check (CRC) through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Applicants must disclose all previous convictions including spent convictions in accordance with the associated legislation. The amendments to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020) provide that when applying for certain jobs and activities, certain convictions and cautions are considered ‘protected’. This means that they do not need to be disclosed to employers, and if they are disclosed, employers cannot take them into account.
