In her role, Mandy will play a key role in the development and implementation of Huddersfield Town Foundation’s fundraising activities in order to secure funding for its work within the community.

Huddersfield born and bred, Mandy arrives at the Club with plenty of experience in this field; she has previously worked as Fundraising Manager for Huddersfield Town Charity Partner the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, as well as Kirkwood Hospice.

She previously worked closely with the Club in her role at Forget Me Not, with former Town Manager Peter Jackson once a Patron of the charity, and was a successful participant in last season’s Pedal for Pounds bike ride from Yeovil to Huddersfield!

Huddersfield Town Foundation Trustee Sean Jarvis explained Mandy’s appointment:

“The Corporate Fundraising Officer is the first person employed to exclusively work for the Foundation and as such it was vital we got the right person in for this key role. In Mandy, we believe we have that person.

“Mandy’s CV speaks for itself given the success she has had in similar roles for local charities in the past and we’re delighted she’s taken the opportunity to work with the Foundation. She has the chance to really shape the direction the Foundation takes in association with the Board of Trustees and her task of generating money is absolutely key to the Foundation’s ability to deliver projects that can make the difference in our area, such as the ‘Early Kick-Off’ Breakfast Clubs.”

“I’m very excited about the Huddersfield Town Foundation as I believe the charity can make a massive difference in our community.

“I’ve been a fan of the Club since I turned 12; my father has supported the team for 50 years and my Great Uncle, Hughie Turner, even played for the Club. Football is in my family and as such I understand what a powerful engagement tool the football club is, which in turn makes the Huddersfield Town Foundation a very appealing charity to youngsters in our area.

“I started on Monday and I’m already really enjoying the role and working with the people at the Club. The potential for the role is boundless.”
